Government Launches SATHEE Platform to Benefit 10 Lakh Students Preparing for JEE Main and NEET Exams

New Delhi, 5th March 2023: The Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, launched the ‘SATHEE’ (Self-sustaining and Affordable Education for Everyone) platform on Thursday. The platform, developed by IIT Kanpur and IISc Bangalore, aims to provide free coaching for students preparing for JEE Main and NEET exams.

The SATHEE platform will offer live and recorded video lectures, doubt-solving sessions, and practice material for JEE Main and NEET aspirants. The platform will also offer courses for students preparing for other competitive exams such as UPSC, GATE, and CAT.

In his address, the Union Education Minister said that the SATHEE platform is a significant step towards providing quality education to students across the country, especially those who come from economically weaker sections. He added that the platform is in line with the government’s vision of providing affordable and accessible education to all.

The SATHEE platform is designed to be self-sustaining, and it will be available in multiple Indian languages to cater to students from all regions of the country. The platform is expected to benefit around 10 lakh students preparing for JEE Main and NEET exams.

The Education Minister also highlighted that the SATHEE platform is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the use of technology to increase access to quality education. He further urged students and teachers to take advantage of this platform and make the most of the resources available to them.

The launch of the SATHEE platform has been well-received by students and educators alike, who have praised the initiative for its efforts to provide quality education to students from all backgrounds. The platform’s user-friendly interface and comprehensive course material are expected to make it a go-to resource for students preparing for competitive exams.

The SATHEE platform is the latest initiative by the government to increase access to quality education in the country. With its launch, students across the country will now have access to free coaching for JEE Main and NEET exams, which were previously considered out of reach for many due to financial constraints.
